Drh. Ni Kadek Chris Nariasih, S.KH
Professional Background
  • What is your primary area of veterinary expertise?
General practitioner: Dermatology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Cardiology
  • How many years of experience do you have in veterinary practice?
    4 Years
  • Have you pursued any specialized training or certifications?
Yes, I’ve pursued additional training in dermatology, cardiology, and ophthalmology to deepen my clinical knowledge and improve diagnostic accuracy in these areas.
  • What types of animals do you have expertise in treating, and are there specific species you are particularly skilled with or passionate about caring for?
I specialize in the care of cats and dogs, with a strong focus on internal medicine and emergency care. I have particular interest and growing expertise in dermatology, cardiology, and Ophthalmology areas where accurate diagnosis and long term management are critical to patient quality life.
Patient Care Approach
  • How would you describe your approach to patient care and client communication?
My approach to patient care begins with building trust and clear communication. I always introduce myself and explain my role in the patient’s care, making sure the owner feels informed and involved throughout the process. I take time to understand the pet owner’s perspective, as their observations and insights are vital to accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

I review the medical history thoroughly, prioritize transparency in sharing diagnostic findings and treatment options, and provide clear, honest updates. Education is key—I aim to go beyond giving instructions by ensuring clients truly understand their pet’s condition and care plan. Through open coordination and respectful dialogue, I work to support both the patient’s medical needs and the owner’s emotional confidence in the care process
  • What strategies do you use to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners?
To ensure a positive and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners, I focus on building trust from the very first interaction. I approach every patient with genuine compassion, treating them with respect and care—regardless of their condition or background. I make it a priority to create a calm environment, offering both emotional reassurance to the owner and physical comfort to the animal.
Special Interests and Focus Areas
  • Do you have specific interests or focus areas within veterinary medicine (e.g., surgery, dentistry, preventive care)?
Yes, I have a strong clinical focus on internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and preventive health for cats and dogs. In addition, I have growing expertise and deep interest in dermatology, cardiology, and ophthalmology—areas that require careful diagnostics and long-term case management.
I’m committed to continuous learning in these fields to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment planning, and patient outcomes. My goal is to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care that addresses both acute presentations and chronic conditions, while also prioritizing preventive strategies to support long-term wellness.
  • Are there particular cases or conditions that you find especially rewarding to work on?
I find cases that require detailed investigation and long-term management especially rewarding—particularly those involving dermatology, cardiology, and ophthalmology. Managing chronic skin conditions, heart disease, or ocular disorders allows me to build strong continuity of care, closely monitor progress, and see meaningful improvements in the patient’s comfort and quality of life.
I’m also drawn to emergency cases, where rapid decision-making and clear communication can make a critical difference. Whether stabilizing a patient in crisis or managing a complex chronic condition, it’s deeply fulfilling to see the outcome of dedicated, evidence-based care reflected in a pet’s recovery and the owner’s trust.
Client Interaction and Education
  • How do you educate and involve pet owners in the care and well-being of their animals?
I believe that educating pet owners is key to ensuring long-term health and well-being for their animals. I begin by emphasizing the core principles of animal welfare—providing proper nutrition, maintaining parasite control (ticks, fleas, and worms), scheduling routine vaccinations, and ensuring regular veterinary check-ups. I also highlight the importance of mental enrichment, such as play and engagement, to support emotional well-being.
  • What advice do you commonly provide to pet owners for maintaining their pets' health?
The advice I usually give to pet owners is pretty straightforward. First, make sure you’re feeding a good, age-appropriate diet. Keep up with routine vaccinations and don’t skip deworming or flea and tick prevention. Regular vet check-ups are really important too. I always remind them to give their pets enough playtime, keep them mentally stimulated, and pay attention to any changes in behavior, appetite, or bathroom habits. It’s all about staying one step ahead to keep them healthy.
