"The most rewarding part of my work is seeing patients recover and knowing that both the animal and their family feel cared for and supported."
Professional Background
  • What is your primary area of veterinary expertise?
My primary areas of veterinary expertise are soft tissue surgery and medical imaging (particularly ultrasonography and X-ray). I am also interested in other imaging modalities such as CT and MRI, although I do not yet have direct experience with them.
  • How many years of experience do you have in veterinary practice?
    5 years
  • Have you pursued any specialised training or certifications?
    Not yet.
  • What types of animals do you have expertise in treating, and are there specific species you are particularly skilled with or passionate about caring for?
My expertise is primarily in the treatment of companion animals, especially cats and dogs. I have experience in preventive care, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and I am particularly passionate about pediatric care, ensuring proper early treatment and growth monitoring for puppies and kittens. My clinical focus includes managing gastrointestinal, respiratory, dermatological, and chronic conditions, as well as performing routine and advanced soft tissue surgeries. While I am not yet an expert in medical imaging (ultrasound and X-ray), I am continuously learning and developing my skills to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Patient Care Approach
  • How would you describe your approach to patient care and client communication?
My approach to patient care focuses on compassion, accuracy, and professionalism. I prioritize patient comfort while providing thorough examinations, precise diagnostics, and tailored treatments. In client communication, I value clarity and honesty, explaining medical findings in simple terms and involving owners in decision-making. I emphasize preventive care and follow-up to ensure long-term health, always treating each patient as if they were my own pet and supporting clients with empathy and trust.
  • What strategies do you use to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners?
I use several strategies to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for both pets and their owners. For patients, I focus on gentle handling, minimizing stress during examinations or procedures, and creating a calm environment in the clinic. I also use clear explanations and careful preparation before diagnostic imaging or surgery to make the process smoother. For owners, I practice open and empathetic communication, explaining medical conditions and treatment options in a simple and reassuring way, while also listening to their concerns. I encourage questions, involve them in decision-making, and provide regular updates and follow-up care to build trust and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive atmosphere where both pets and owners feel safe, respected, and well cared for.
Special Interests and Focus Areas
  • Do you have specific interests or focus areas within veterinary medicine (e.g., surgery, dentistry, preventive care)?
Yes, I have specific interests and focus areas within veterinary medicine, particularly in soft tissue surgery and medical imaging (ultrasonography and X-ray). I am also passionate about preventive care, including vaccination, deworming, nutrition counseling, and client education to support long-term health. In addition, I have a strong interest in pediatric veterinary medicine, focusing on the care of young animals by providing early disease detection, growth monitoring, and guidance for proper development.
  • Are there particular cases or conditions that you find especially rewarding to work on?
I find cases involving soft tissue surgery especially rewarding, as they allow me to directly improve patient health and quality of life. I also enjoy working on pediatric cases, such as caring for puppies and kittens, because early intervention and preventive care have a lasting impact on their development. While I am still learning and gaining experience in medical imaging such as ultrasound and X-ray, I find it very valuable in supporting diagnosis and treatment planning. Most of all, I feel fulfilled when I see my patients recover and their owners feel reassured and happy with the care provided.
Client Interaction and Education
  • How do you educate and involve pet owners in the care and well-being of their animals?
I believe educating and involving pet owners is essential for achieving the best outcomes in animal health. I focus on providing clear and simple explanations about a pet’s condition, treatment options, and preventive care, ensuring owners fully understand the steps needed to keep their animals healthy. I encourage owners to ask questions and share their concerns, creating a collaborative decision-making process where they feel included and supported. I also emphasize the importance of preventive measures such as proper nutrition, vaccination, deworming, and routine check-ups, helping owners take an active role in maintaining long-term health. Through consistent communication, empathy, and follow-up, I aim to build trust and empower owners to be confident partners in their pet’s care.
  • What advice do you commonly provide to pet owners for maintaining their pets' health?
I commonly advise pet owners to focus on preventive care as the foundation of their pets' health. This includes keeping vaccinations and deworming up to date, providing balanced nutrition, maintaining good hygiene, and scheduling regular check-ups to detect problems early. I also emphasize the importance of weight management, exercise, and dental care, as these are often overlooked but crucial for long-term well-being. For puppies and kittens, I highlight the need for early health monitoring and proper socialization to support healthy growth and behavior. Above all, I remind owners that consistent care, attention, and love are key to ensuring their pets live happy and healthy lives.
